5 Reasons to Love Tuguegarao City
There is no place like Tuguegarao. It is a home of many ethnic and diverse groups from Northern Luzon background. It is a place where people thrive to be the best they can. I have stayed here for almost a year now and I can name top 5 reasons why I fell in LOVE with this place.
1. It is the hottest place in the Philippines. Yes, one of the hottest temperature recorded in the country is set in this place. All year round, the sun never stops emitting too many heat waves. It's like having a free sauna providing double benefit: removing excess fat and eliminating toxins through sweat. But seriously, I love hot places.
2. It is home for all government offices and leading universities in Region 2. You don't have to go far to get important documents. OWWA, DFA, DepED, DOH, DA and all regional offices are clustered in the city. You can process documents like NSO, passport, professional license and all others in one day. Tuguegarao City is also home to USL (the university leader in Cagayan), SPUP, CSU, UCV and the rests.
3. The best Batil-patong and Pancit Cabagan at affordable prices. When you talk about pancit, no other recipe is superior to Tuguegarao's very own. Jomar's, Jayren's, RGT Bulalohan and many others are selling the best batil-patong in town.
4. It is located in the heart of Cagayan. Whenever you want to travel to breathtaking views in Batanes, white sand beach in Sta. Ana, black beach in Buguey, Callao Cave in Penablanca or Blue lagoon in Baggao, you have to reach Tuguegarao first. An airport is operational to transport you to these places. Public utility vans are also abundant in the city. These is the most common form of transport going to other municipalities in Cagayan. Tuguegarao serves as a window or door to other parts of Cagayan.
5. This is where I work. This is where I live. This is where I study. These reasons are very bias in my perspective. Tuguegarao City has provided me the opportunity to work and contribute to shaping Pharmacy professionals. I teach at the University of Saint Louis, I live in a safe home near school and I study MPH at Cagayan State University. There is more to than just living in this place. I love this place because it is now my home.
