Pag-ibig at Kaluluwa

Image

A Student’s Bittersweet Story

by: Archi Byqn H e slams the door, thrusts his fists on the wall. Force so strong it nearly broke his arm. He began to weep, his palm on his face, his shoulders shrug up and down, down and up, and tears flowed very heavily. He keeps on thinking how stupid he is to fail. Fail once again from the verdict of glory. He remorse but results can never be undone.  “How could I possibly fail, when in fact I am a brilliant, very intelligent kid?”, he keeps on asking himself. He throws whatever he sees, the pain of losing he cannot tolerate. If only he could rewind the past and make the necessary adjustment. He should have exerted more effort for the course requirement. He could have listened more to the lectures. He could have been more serious on his studies. He could have sacrifice a little bit of his precious time to complete his assignments and review for his quizzes. He could have been more diligent as a student. But there he was: texting, facebooking, internet gaming, entertaini...

A Concern Letter from Sir Archie

Dearest Chemistry 2 students, Final examination week (hell week for some) is fast approaching. Several nights from now, you will be seating in a chair alone looking for answers. Remember, you can't cram in any exam. The brain can only process bits of information in a series of time. So cramming will never work, unless you have a large storage center for short term memory. The only solution then is to build a strong study habit to let these concepts sink in to your nerve cells. Notice that the greatest warrior prepare, before facing any battle. Thus better be prepared than sorry. Most of you have not yet reach the level of maturity that is expected for a second year level college student. Juvenile stupidity still occupies a large part of your system. Get rid of those as early as now! What we need are more mature students who can follow orders, find solution to problems, work collaboratively and can work under pressure at a minimal supervision.  I believe that you all have the ...
