THE POWER OF WORDS Words when carefully chosen has the potential to touch a person's life. When someone does something right, he deserves a validation. When somebody exceeded your expectations, he surely has to be praised. But all too often we seem to miss a lot of opportunities to acknowledge others' achievement. Most of the time we speak ill-things. We magnify the flaws of other people oblivious of their kindness. Words like shit, fuck, die bitch, asshole, stupid, idiot, ukinam/ putang-ina has become a part of our daily vocabulary. We yell at one another, spread rumors from each other, spit hate and anger. Little by little, we are losing the true spirit of humanity. We have become self-consume by the idea of "I", "me", "myself". HOW I GOT 89.30% BOARD RATING IN THE JANUARY 2014 PLE I graduated March 2013 but then decided to postpone taking the board exam. So instead of doing it in June of the same year as most of my brilliant batch mates did, I waited for the next one. I thought the 2014 Jan PLE will be easier but boy I was wrong! I heard several second-takers who think that the previous exam is easier. Anyway despite the level of difficulty, I manage to score a whooping 89.30%, with 0.12% difference from the 10th placer from UP. In an effort to earn potential income, immediately after graduation, I applied to several institutions. Luckily I got a non-teaching position in the University of Baguio (UB). I started working June 2013 as Laboratory Custodian with no license and with 11 K monthly starting salary. I never had the chance to enroll in a review center since I am a full-time employee.
